One of the Festival partners is Company "Danubius", whose Director Predrag Marković emphasized that this year the Company would celebrate its 100th anniversary and that the Festival was an ideal occasion for celebrating its jubilee in its home town with Novi Sad people.

"The theme of the Festival is promoting national cuisines from different countries all over the world and that is why we think that Serbia should also present the best things it has. “Danubius” centennial itself is very rich and we will have an exhibition of archive photos depicting the way people used to live and work in “Danubius”, said Predrag Marković.

"The Festival will be opened on Friday, 11th May at 17.00 with Montenegro as the first country to present itself. The visitors will have the opportunity to taste the specialties of different national cuisines, meet the cultural heritage of those countries as well as to enjoy their traditional and modern music”, said Ivana Tomić from "Color Media Communications".

"I have the pleasure to announce the second "Food Planet" since the last year’s Festival was held in the best possible atmosphere and was one of the most popular ones. This is a good chance for foreign embassies and chambers of commerce to represent their national cuisines and cultural heritage. We would like to send a picture of Novi Sad to the world and we are especially glad that tourism indicators prove that there is a larger number of tourists visiting our town”, said Milorad Radojević, adding that the Festival was the beginning of the season of summer events in Novi Sad and that from Monday the Tourist Organization would begin the campaign for promoting the summer season.

"Ninamedia" representative Milena Biga pointed out that in the course of 23 days in Trg slobode Novi Sad people and visitors would see the presentation of one country, adding that this year’s program would be richer and more diverse.
